Southland Review
The show is good, I really enjoyed it and if you have not seen it you can watch the first episode embedded at the bottom of this post.
Before I watched it, I was thinking… bleh… another cop show… …. Not that i watch much TV, I don’t. I just know I hear a lot of CIS this and CIS that and from what I’ve seen they are all way too Dawson’s Creek for me. Way too wordy and not enough feeling. Southland is very different in this way, I felt a lot.
The way I loved the movie Training Day, I like Southland; the way I like the movie Collateral, I like Southland. Cops that hurt and are not badasses at all make me like the cops, bad guys that are just regular guys make me like the bad guys. It also has cool cinematography that is raw and makes the scene feel more real, it inspires me to produce my own shows again somehow.
Well, that’s about all I have to say. I like it; I wonder if others like it…
Oh, and one last thing… if anyone knows someone that knows someone… I’d love re-do the profile photos of the characters and make them just a little better.

Its good to hear why you like it. I too enjoyed the heart of the cops, thats a nice addition to a cop drama. I found it very choppy. It jumped from one story line to another too quick for me to get into that story. But by the end, after all the story lines came together, it had me. So, I’m gonna give it another episode before I fully judge it. I really want it to do well cuz I have a crush on Ben McKenzie!
Yeah, it did cut from story line to story line but somehow that didn’t bother me.
I’m looking forward to the next episode, maybe we can have a Southland party in the southland.
So how do you like it now? I need to catch up, I’ve been traveling and have not seen the latest episodes.
