Above is another bit of video from our day 2 in Cancun, Mexico. We got to go kayaking, meet a monkey, and go on a pirate cruise!

I’d also like to write (type) about what made it possible for me to be here. I am here for work…

Without Bonny, I don’t think I’d be able to properly photograph the wedding and make promos for Aaron. So, thank you Bonny!!!

Without Aaron hiring me to shoot the wedding with him and make promo videos I would not be able to be here. Thank you Aaron!!!

And Thanks to Carrie and Daniel for getting engaged and planning your wedding here in beautiful Cancun, Mexico.

Wedding in Aspen

Wow, I had the greatest time second shooting for [b] e c k e r in Aspen at the Roaring Fork Club (well, just outside of Aspen in Basalt)!!! The bride was so easy going and beautiful I could not stop shooting once I met her.

Being Becker’s second shooter is a huge privilege, I was able to learn so much from him; even though I’ve been shooting the [b] School blog with him since last year. Vu Bui, my brother, also went to Aspen and shot lots of great stuff for the [b] School over the weekend.

Becker is an amazing person to work with; he is fast, fun, friendly, and most of all, loved by everyone he shoots. Anyone he is shooting just lights up when he talks to them and it really shows in his images. Just follow this link to see what I’m talking about.

The florist who did the arrangements did a wonderful job. Everything was so clean and beautiful.

Hit & Run Bluegrass Band played live music and everyone had a blast with them. I’m going to be sure to buy one of their CDs because I know Bonny will love the music.

Julie and Luke

Over the weekend I had the chance to shoot a wedding reception with Aaron Dieppa, it was a great chance to meet a really nice new couple and to try out my new Canon 5D. You can see Aaron’s images on his blog here.

Bonnie and Isaac Wedding

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting Bonnie and Isaac’s wedding. It was a beautiful and fun wedding with lots of great people. Here are some of my favorite shots:

Kristin and Alan Wedding

Yesterday Vu, Bonny and I had the pleasure of shooting my friends Kristin and Alan at their beautiful Southern California wedding. The ceremony was held at the Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. If you have not been there I recommend visiting just to see how beautiful it is. The Reception was held at the La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

Here is Kristin getting ready with her bridesmaids:

Alan is scolding Aaron Dieppa here:

The car/limo driver and his awesome ride:

Alan and Kristin have a great love story and make a great couple.

This is Kristin’s veil as she entered the church, I really liked the colors of the dress, the veil and the ground:

The very nice Wayfarers Chapel:

It isn’t often that we get a chance to take a photograph of all of the attendees at a wedding; this is everyone on the steps of the chapel with Alan kissing Kristin:

After Alan god bored he took a nap:

Their first dance was amazing, Alan sure could show off!!!

Here is one of the barender’s serving a drink off of an ice sculpture called The Luge. By the way, the service at the La Venta Inn is amazing. All of the people working there were genuinely nice and courteous. It will be a great pleasure to work with them again in the future.

OCF, off camera flash, shot:

And lastly, me with the couple. I am standing straight up in this photograph.

Evelyn and Juan Wedding

Wow!!! Yesterday Aaron and I shot Evelyn and Juan’s Wedding at The Reef restaurant in long Beach and we had such a blast and took some very nice photographs!!! Evelyn was so great with the camera, she loved the cameras!

After going through the photogaphs I picked out a few of my favorites, and here they are:

Here is Aaron kissing one of the bridesmaids, well… it just so happens the bridesmaid is his girlfriend.

Shannon and Bill Wedding

  • Shannon and Bill had a very fun wedding, everyone was so happy for them.

I could not help but be very intrested in this drawing in their guest book:

Everyone that danced, danced very well:

Here is a Picture Video of Rachel and Beracah’s wedding. The wedding ceremony was held in La Jolla and the reception at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park in San Diego.

It was a very fun wedding, everything went smooth and i think everyone had a lot of fun!

I wonder what other professional photographers think about these videos, good? Bad? Would they be willing to show all photographs they took to a client? Well, if you are a professional photographer let me know what you think.

This is something new I am trying with my wedding photography. I have made Picture Videos before with events and weekends and even years, but I wondered how a couple would like to see their wedding as a picture video. While learning about wedding photography I found that most of the other professionals edit down their photographs from each wedding to around 500-1000 shots to show the couple as proofs. This is great for saving the couple time and the hassle of going through so many photographs to chose the ones they like. It also makes the photographer look better by only showing the best; but there are so many other shots that just get wasted.

Well, here is my wedding photography: raw and unedited, power pumped into your eyes and ears. I’m not sure how others will like this, but this is my way of not wasting those otherwise lost photographs.
